How we work with data

Here is the short and practical version: what data we receive through the site, why it is needed, how cookies and Google Analytics work, how lead forms work, and how to contact us if you want to clarify or delete your data.

The short version

We do not sell contact databases and we do not collect more than we need. Data from forms is used to reply to your request, analytics cookies start only after consent, and you can refuse analytics directly in the banner.

Who is responsible for the data

The site `dedach.academy` belongs to the deDACH team. If you have questions about the processing of personal data, you can write to hi@dedach.academy.

What data we may receive

We collect only the data that you leave yourself or that is technically necessary for the website to work.

  • Form data: name, email, Telegram / WhatsApp, level, timeline, comment.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, pages opened, and visit time.
  • Cookies: consent or refusal for analytics, plus analytics cookies after confirmation.
We do not ask for card payment details through the site and we do not collect sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for a specific consultation or admission process.

Why we process this data

  • To reply to a request or message.
  • To match the right course, consultation, or admission route.
  • To understand which pages work well and where the site should be improved.
  • To maintain the security, stability, and technical operation of the website.
Legal basis

Consent, preparation for a contract / consultation, and legitimate interest in maintaining the website.

Automated decisions

We do not use automated profiling that independently makes decisions about a person.

Which services may receive data

To run the website, we may use third-party services that process part of the data on our behalf.

  • Formspree — to receive forms from the site.
  • Google Analytics 4 — for traffic analytics after your consent.
  • Email / Telegram / WhatsApp — if you choose that channel for communication.

If you do not want analytics to run, you can simply click “Decline” in the cookie banner.

Cookies and Google Analytics

The site uses a cookie banner. Until you click “Accept”, Google Analytics is not loaded. If you click “Decline”, analytics cookies stay inactive.

  • Functional cookie — stores your answer in the banner (`accepted` or `declined`).
  • Analytics cookies — start only after consent.
The XML message that a browser shows for `sitemap.xml` is not related to cookies or privacy. It is normal behaviour for a technical XML file.

How long we keep data

We keep data no longer than necessary to reply to a request, continue communication, or fulfil obligations within a consultation or support service.

  • Form requests — while communication is active and there is a practical reason to keep the contact.
  • Technical analytics data — according to the standard settings of the analytics service.
  • The consent cookie — until it is cleared in the browser or replaced by a new choice.

Your rights

If data protection rules such as GDPR apply to you, you may request:

  • access to the data we hold;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • deletion of data if there is no longer a basis for keeping it;
  • restriction of processing or objection to it where applicable;
  • withdrawal of consent for analytics cookies.

To do that, just write to hi@dedach.academy and briefly describe the request.
